Pros

Good mid-level management. Employees are not micro-managed and are treated with respect. Beer on Fridays!

Cons

Poor management at the VP and Executive levels. Too much dead wood from the old Extreme and Enterasys days stuck working on same antiquated technology for years. Lack of motivation from employees to learn new technology.

Pros

Work with terrific people across all roles and geographies. Very flexible work environment overall with work from home or in the office as you see fit... Pretty good benefits overall. They have some truly differentiating technology too....

Cons

.....however, there is very little agreement within the company on how to leverage this differentiation in the marketplace. Lots of work "silos" happening with no clear direction, or strategy. The merge of Enterasys and Extreme has been more of a collision than an integration and corporate culture has suffered greatly with lots of great people leaving because of this. There is currently no clear direction or identity for the company. Just laid off 18% of the company with others leaving on their own. Very gloomy feeling within the company right now overall.

Pros

Hands off management, allowed to do my job without a lot of interference from managers. Free water, soda, and potato chips all day long and free beer and appetizers on Fridays.

Cons

Upper management claims to be open and transparent but even when caught in an outright lie they can't admit they are not. Under Chuck the company was stable but not as profitable as the board wanted. Fired Chuck and the replacement has already had a massive layoff of talent and a complete change in direction.
