Weirdest culture, most authoritarian HR, and people who did absolutely nothing prospered. There were actually people who did nothing the entire time I was there (2.5 years)! I'm not exaggerating. Every meeting, these people would say that they were "25%" finished an assignment, and this went on for MONTHS! Six months after first saying that he was "25%" finished a specific project, one employee still claimed to be "25%" finished, and no-one raised an eyebrow. Not doing anything is better at Extron because at least you don't get anyone angry. Weirdest, creepiest place I've ever worked.

The environment is a combination of boiler room and office space. Old timers all have clock in clock out attitude. Majority of engineers are almost in their retirement age. AV products coming from Extron lacks ingenuity, they do slight update from last generation products. If you are looking for a job with a stable paycheck this is your place.
