Don't expect too much

Pros

There's overtime pay for some projects if you don't mind putting more working hours. As an engineer I still have to clock in/out. That's good and bad. Good thing is I just work the minimum 40 hrs/week most of the time. Bad thing is you are required to stay full 40 hrs/week. Luckily my boss is not picky on working hours. Employees get 20% off dining at the ranch restaurant, owned and run by CEO/president.

Cons

pathetic benefits, even insulting for the Xmas "gift", max out at $150 pretax after 5 years. other than that nothing. HR used to put "up to and including termination" at the end of every announcement.

Pros

i can't think of one pro. it was difficult working there

Cons

They pay way lower than market median salary You will never get a raise more than 3% You will never got to become upper management unless you kiss few asses on the way there You have to "swipe" in and out and flexibility is not an option It is like a prison in there Can't voice new ideas. They get either rejected or stolen. HR is the boogeyman...or the boogeywomen in that sense!

A great place to retire

Pros

There is potential compensation (not everyone), and potential access to resources (not everyone). Every company encourages more, but you can survive with 40 hour workweek. This is great for parents. The workforce is well of advanced age and you will get along just fine if this is your last planned career job. Benefits are typical, nothing special.

Cons

"This is not a happy, go lucky company", these are some of the first words you will hear when interviewing. Heed that advice and, until it changes, avoid this company. On the list of cons are: HR, moral, lack of growth potential, incompetent IT, lack of feedback, little room to learn, time punch clock for salary employees, environment of fear, and lack of communication. This company sees its employees as nothing more than a resource, there is no human element to your position.
