Pros

- Good pay and increment, bonus is fixed 2 months at the end of the year - Fixed car allowance RM300++ - Medium to okay benefits for hotel/dining/car etc company rates - Gym facilities is shared with the building in front, it’s small and you need to get out of your building to get there. Classes are not free, you need to pay for them but the prices are subsidized - Have a very good environment, colleagues and some managers are understanding and nice. Good balance between work and play as there are many events going on. - Feels a bit like university/school as you need to attend/organize events as it is included in your performance evaluation - Flexibility depends on your manager and how many night meetings you have. You can get back as early as 2pm depending on you circumstances - Pantry game is average. No free fruits/snacks. They have an overpriced vending machine for ready made food (only one though) - Really good working desk, it’s ergonomic and the company really puts great care for this safety issue - Have a lot of resources for training and learning. They put really high value and priority for this

Cons

- Too many night meetings especially if your team is mostly in the US, prioritization is the US timezone - Has a lot of work politics, if a manager likes you, you will probably stay there long enough to be one of their own. There’s a lot of biased so far from what I’ve seen. - Performance evaluation seems fair in a hindsight but it’s actually not. Just as I said, it’s like a school/university system. You will be ranked 1 to 100 (example) and will be fighting for your spot every year to not be fired. Even if all of your team is good at work, you still have to be rank from highest to lowest. No one will have the same result even though both are good. This evaluation will include your work performance, events/activities and to add on how much your manager & other manager likes you. - If you get low rank (NSI) you will get Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) which is just a way to lay you off without paying you the bonuses and allowance in a duration of 3 months. They will only let you stay if they like you, otherwise just take their laid off option and get your compensation money - If your manager holds the title SDM instead of Supervisor, most of the time they don't know how to help you in your day to day task. If you need to ask anything they will just direct you to another person because they don't know, which says a lot. How can you manage people of you don't know what they are doing. - You will get a role rotation every 3- 5 years. Jack of all trades but master of none - High turnover rates
