      Pros

      Able to work in different departments /organizations and build diverse functional skills, resulting in an awesome resume.

      Cons

      Over-exaggerated claim of meritocracy. I was given several high level high intensity jobs with no promotion and minimal salary increases. Subpar compensation for the experience they build in their people, resulting in folks leaving and getting paid $50k - $100k more in just base.

      Great WLB. Great area to work in (DFW). High exposure to senior leaders right away

      Cons

      Awful ranking system that predetermined who wins or loses. If you do not have a sponsor at Exxon, leave. You’ll get crap raises and assignments

      Pros

      All of the employees at ExxonMobil are brilliant and personable individuals. You can learn so much information from senior engineers. The work can be demanding and challenging, but I think this could fit some individuals' lifestyles.

      Cons

      The work environment at ExxonMobil claims to be collaborative and team-oriented. However, the corporate structure itself does little to promote this type of behavior. In its place is a system that rewards the work and achievements of individuals. As a result, the workplace fails to promote the nurturing culture it dreams of and instead becomes competitive at every level from interns, engineers, and senior leadership.
