Pros

Pension plan, 401k match, beautiful campus

Cons

You are ranked with co workers to determine raises and promotions. So even if you worked your butt off and did a great job, you may not get recognized for it, especially if someone a level or 2 higher doesn’t particularly like you and has input despite not really knowing what you contribute. It is biased and unfair. This has led to a competitive, untrusting environment. Certain groups are perceived to be better than others and get higher rankings even though in reality they aren’t any better.

Pros

free time to do anything aside from work, which isnt too bad since you make enough money. But sucks to work for a company that destorys the environment

Cons

it is boring to do nothing but sit around on the computer all day long without any work to do so it takes a lot of effort to not quit and do something else. man it sucks working for this soul crushing company. I hope it fails.

Pros

I have major flexibility and minimal micromanagement in my current role but that is SOLELY because of my supervisor and if that position changes to a new person it could go away. It also helps/doesn't help that my supervisor is not involved in my day to day at all so they have no idea what I do all day; great for no micromanaging, not great when it comes to advocating for me in performance reviews. Variety of experience, able to work through turnarounds, improvement opportunities, variety of equipment types, leadership/management DO want to develop you to exent and take initiative to move you around and put you in different experience opportunities.

Cons

Higher level leadership is clearly attempting to reduce headcount in the engineering resources area to save money but advertising it as “eliminating unnecessary tasks” by allowing engineers to focus on bigger picture items and sending those smaller responsibilities to overseas tech centers but that isn’t really happening as engineers are still spending alot of time on stewardship activities and repeat communication to multiple “supervisor” type roles throughout the business units the engineers support. Morale is low as people are quitting or "escaping" to other parts of the company (outside of manufacturing) everyday. Others in similar roles to me are unable to work from home ever and have minimal flexibility so it just depends.
