Pros

Professionals are given freedom to do their jobs without interference; very dynamic pace; exposure to issues you'll not see anywhere else; pay and benefits are excellent

Cons

Many in management need to work on their people skills (a good technician isn't necessarily cut out to manage a staff)

Pros

The job stability is great because contract lengths are mostly on an annual basis.

Cons

Working as a contractor, there are no benefits and your chances of becoming a full-time employee are slim.
