Pros

The compensation is pretty close to unbeatable working for Exxon, and the accompanying benefits package when hired full-time is fantastic. Work is challenging and fulfilling and there are many different opportunities and locations available for those with the drive.

Cons

The infamous ranking system causes a competitive and occasionally cutthroat work environment as your coworkers jostle and manipulate to stay ahead. If you're not the type-A personality that thrives at Exxon, you'll very quickly be burnt out.
