      A Company That Is Starting To Lose It's American Values

      Pay & Benefits, Secure Industy to work in.

      Cons

      This company is starting to cut back too much regarding up-keep of equipment and employee satisfaction. When an employee retires, their job duties are divided up between everyone else.

      Pros

      HR does a great job in providing "golden handcuffs" to experienced employees. Benefits (pension plan, 401k) are pretty good, and the job seems safe right now.

      Cons

      Career path is pre-determined before you start working there. Excellent work performance does not give you any recognition. Only if management really likes somebody (because of a nice smile, or the ability to endlessly talk smoothly), that person will get a series of easy tasks to accomplish, and that leads to promotions and recognition.

      Pros

      The only good reason is the wages which are very good.

      Cons

      Management will not accept help from anyone at a lower pay grade. They are always correct and never make mistakes. It is amazing that none of management have people skills or any common sense. Anything that goes wrong is your fault, not theirs even though you have warned them of the consequences of their plans. You are not allowed to be ill and your penalized if you are. Exxon Mobil is very proud of their safety record even though people are afraid to report anything for fear of reprisals. Micro managing.
