      Great pay for non-tech, terrible work culture

      Pros

      Smart peer group. Pay and benefits are great and its a great place to learn the job (assignments are substantial and challenging).

      Cons

      Terrible work culture. Performance assessment system does not promote collaboration. No work life balance. Not a good company for experienced hires without manufacturing experience. Your external experience will not be valued. Company does not develop leaders - just “managers”. Middle managers have no empowerment.

      Decent salary and still considered a good name on resume

      Cons

      Terrible work life balance, though most employees choose to extend their work hours to appear competitive and is completely unnecessary. Very negative work environment that drains employee energy and makes it difficult to motivate them in their work. Too many levels of management, there is a feeling of constant micromanaging which unsurprisingly makes work take longer to complete. Did not feel valued as an employee.

      Decent Pay + Benefits, Working with helpful professionals (as long as they weren't in your peer group or your salary grade)

      Cons

      Brutal culture of back biting and self-aggrandizement. This leads to an obsession with arbitrary processes, unsolicited peer auditing, safety witch-hunts, and a focus on the perception of contribution more than the creation of lasting improvements. 60hr work weeks make payrate uncompetitive.
