      Pros

      National vision/Eyeglass World has so many programs and incentives to help associates grow and expand with the company. Upper management really does care and actually will return a call or email

      Cons

      Some store work with fewer shifts for associates, but job/store sharing is possible. Dollar compensation is sometimes low in the industry

      Pros

      Upper management team (area manager, district manager, regional VP, etc) are AMAZING. They constantly go above and beyond to make work fun! Always have amazing doctors on staff. Very rewarding being able to help patients with their vision, and create lasting bonds with not only the patients but employees as well.

      Cons

      If you close you can get stuck working later than scheduled, but that’s expected at any retail facility

      Pros

      Corporate listens to its associates. Top executives always have time for their employees and their ideas. EGW always celebrate the wins and recognizes associates for their accomplishments. Lots of room to grow and move up in the organization !!!

      Cons

      45 hour work week for GM's does not lead to a great work life balance to be able to have meals or to go to school functions with my kids.
