Low pay and not negotiable, locked into 2 year contract at that low rate

In my opinion: Poor quality training materials. I came into FDM full of enthusiasm and had a serious attitude with regards to learning, achieving, and advancing my career. My first five weeks in the academy were quite positive and i learned a fair amount, but the disorganised company culture and poor quality of the training materials soon made it hard for me to remain motivated. Management does not lead by example. There is a clear double-standard in what is required of staff with regards to anything from dress code and punctuality, to the actual quality of your work output. As a trainee, then a consultant, it feels kind of like a constant BS test. How many hoops can you jump through? How much BS can you take? Praise is rare and non-constructive criticism abounds. You are the product. You have little say in where you will be placed, and the account managers will send you to interview for positions that you have no interest in and are not qualified for. To be fair, if you establish a good relationship with them and let your preferences be known, they will try to take this into account. Ultimately though, I have seen many capable trainees pressured into accepting roles they did not want. You are constantly micro managed whilst in the academy. Your training will only last a maximum of 4 months however, so get yourself placed and it'll be bearable.
