Pros

People I have met at FDM

Cons

Poor pay structure (18k + daily bonus to get you just above the threshold to start paying back student loan) Try talk to company about overtime pay & weekend work and negotiation of pay is like trying to get blood out of a stone Poor Holiday booking system (Has to be approved by FDM and client) Training not worth £20,0000, I could have done this job without even going to university and probably got paid more. Account manager & HR just as useless as each other - when you try to ask about negotiation of pay within first 2 years of contract they stop responding to emails. FDM are like flamingos - Pretty to look at but they're pretty useless Charge clients ridiculous amounts and give "contractors" bare minimum Daily rate is a joke - very unclear of what you are getting paid. If you miss work for a numerous amount of days within a month, then you won't be paying your student loan back. So in addition to your £20k debt with FDM if you leave in the first 2 years, you have the interest on the £50k debt that has been accumulated whilst studying for the last 4 years. If you get placed with a client anywhere in the UK that you don't want to go to, you have to drop your bags immediately and go there like a sheep Interesting how they have just updated their website with "modern slavery act" in January this year - I'm pretty sure this is due to a lot of people in their first 2 years of FDM that do not agree with what FDM are doing Heard from people external to FDM that Account Managers make fake reviews on this website to make them look a bit credible FDM pressure you to saying that you are a "Consultant" but truthfully you're just another number to them and as long as they charge their clients whatever they're charging, then they don't really care Reason to why they're the most "multi-cultural" and winning all these awards is so that they can literally put them out into the working world and get money out of you. Even if you've made them more than the £20k you owe them you can not leave. Literally cannot find any way out of the contract so have to d enjoy the ride of being a graduate in the "working world"
