Pros
The training that FDM provides is good and relevant. I got placed at a large investment bank only a few weeks into training. There's a zero percent chance I would have landed that job on my own. I give FDM an A+ for helping me get an awesome job with a prestigious company. Many opportunities to interview with great companies. For computer science graduates that are having difficulty finding their first software development job, FDM is not a bad option. The way I see it, 2 years is nothing and the salary during those two years is decent. Yes , it may be harder to live in NYC on 45 or 50k but in most other parts of the US , that's a decent salary. The accommodation at Reston,Virginia is nice. Good breakfast, free dinner 3 times a week, and free shuttle rides to and from the office.
Cons
During training, you have to share a bedroom with another trainee. As a result, it's hard to have any privacy.
