Pros

There are a few positive aspects to working at FLUENT, like the coworkers, the patients, and the "laid backness" of the company. The retail staff is great and are wonderful to work with. It's really the main positive about the company and not much else.

Cons

The company is basically standing on stilts. There is no way to track anything other than sales through the company, no training at all from production all the way through retail, policies and rules change every day without notice, outdated marketing material if we were ever given any, any question asked is given a "wait till I get back to you" answer with no follow up. Communication is non-existent, retail cannot get ahold of corporate at all, it would be more effective to talk through a Dixi cup and string than to wait on an email. There also seems to be cliquey groups throughout the company, corporate treats retail like they don't exist and puts insane sales expectations without any support from management. All issues stem from management at the end of the day, crazy sales expectations, no communication on any changes or emergencies they somehow expect you to read their mind, and a complete lack of reality when it comes to dealing with any operational issues. The rude and combative behavior from senior management is the worst of all. Senior management believes it is okay to speak to employees however they feel and punish those who try to improve the company. It has made many great workers quit and creates a large and clear divide between management and subordinates.

Pros

Cheap products and only four days a week with 10 hour days.

Cons

No organization, absolutely unsafe ( no safety procedures for anything), garbage pay for the 6 systems you have to run and large quantities of patients you take care of. The benefits are a sham. Company is ran by children that don't take running a legal cannabis business seriously.

Not a company for growth

Pros

They offer an employee discount, but there are so few actual pros that it isn’t worth listing.

Cons

Terrible schedules- they will have you working 12+ hour shifts and are currently planning on extending hours again Poor pay - pay is bare minimum for industry with few opportunities for raises Terrible management - most managers are inept, and upper management is so disconnected from the work in the dispensaries themselves that they continually make choices that decrease your quality of life and your work life as well Hard work is not rewarded, in fact they drive their best employees into the ground and force them out. They are disturbingly unconcerned with employee retention. There is no work life balance. They expect you to revolve your life around them, and treat their employees as subhuman. Worst of all, it is billed as a growing, thriving industry. But if you have aspirations beyond cannabis, work in a dispensary is a black mark on your resume and work history. This job provides nothing for actual professional growth, unless you’re comfortable staying in cannabis or retail for the rest of your life.
