Generally good - but layoffs cause low morale and uncertainty
Pros
Excellent reputation. Exciting projects with big-name clients. A trusted company committed to excellent service to its clients.
Cons
Layoffs. Seemingly constant upper management churn means frequent layoffs and changes in direction. There is nothing worse for morale and productivity than layoffs, and when it happens a few years in a row, there is a constant sense of needing to prove oneself and make oneself valuable. Some are better at this than others, but it's well known that everyone fears for their jobs and many are always on the lookout for their next opportunity, in case the ax hits them next time. It's a shame that FTI does not follow the example of large corporations and engage employees in cost saving measures, in an "all hands on deck" effort to keep returns high.
