Cons: Minimal training (Consultants are expected to learn mostly on the job, which is only ok if your manager is good at training or if you're very good at teaching yourself.) No organized career management (Again, you're on your own to find opportunities that broaden your skill set or help you develop an expertise. If you can get fortunate to team up with a strong director and an even stronger Partner that you have great chemistry with, then you're set. Otherwise, you can be left behind because the company does not have a organized format to develop their consultants.) Compensation is not transparent.
