Pros

You will receive your paycheck on time. There are always plenty of tasks to be completed for this company. You can learn some things with FTI.

Cons

Career advancement within the company is extremely difficult to impossible, as current staff does not advance from existing positions. Employees are not given competitive compensation, nor are they compensated appropriately for going above and beyond, but expect to do so on a regular basis. Technology Management will regularly demand you work during vacation time (PTO). 60 to 90 hour work weeks are expected and without compensation. Inter-team communication is poor to nonexistent, and employee - management communication is very nearly zero as well. If you have a family, be prepared to not see them for a large portion of your time. FTI Demands a certain high level of commitment from employees that is unreasonable and if an employee is unable to keep that commitment, will reflect very poorly for you in employment reviews. Technology has a difficult time retaining employees as there is a lack of respect for most employees by management. Do not expect to work within your job description, this company uses "Other Duties as Assigned" for a large portion of your actual work day. The best way to advance your career is to stay away from this company. It is a chop shop running through a nightmare with seemingly no end in sight. Employees are expected to perform personal reporting on the job that is easily seen as taking care of managements work for them.

Pros

As with any consulting firm, FTI has some interesting projects

Cons

I've been in the consulting world a decade, with experience at big 4 and boutique companies. I've never experienced a lack of engagement from senior leaders like I did at FTI. I rarely heard from my leaders. I never received feedback on my work, and when I pressed for feedback I was always told I was doing well with nominal suggestions for improvement that were trivial. Come bonus time, I got an insult of a bonus (they should have just zeroed it out instead of acting like the pittance they gave me was worthwhile) which was obviously somehow performance based despite the fact that I never received negative feedback on my performance. Leadership is lacking, there is no collaboration, no feeling that you are part of a team. Everything is transactional, I really don't have any positive feelings about the organization. I've never left a Glassdoor review for any of my previous employers, but this experience was so bad that I thought it should be shared.
