      Rewarding opportunity to help clinicians with technology options.

      Pros

      A great opportunity to help doctors and nurses provide excellent patient care with safe and secure technology tools. Vacation is available along with Sick and Safe Time (SST). Retirement plans are also supported and encouraged.

      Cons

      Middle management layers tend to impede getting the customer what they need. There are many concerns around security now that need this level of complexity and ultimately the rewards overcome the frustrations.

      Pros

      Smart people. Ultimately most people in the organization are focused on making sure patient care is the best it can be.

      Cons

      Non-clinical side of the business lacks good leadership culture. They expect people to "just do what I say". Thinking outside the box is initially encouraged and then stopped or penalized based on the leaders' pet projects. It seems the company is full of people who either hate Fairview or love it. It's like a developing country with no middle class, if they fix it they will be a top performing company.

      Pros

      Vacation Time off, many long-term employees who really knew the very complex IT environment.

      Cons

      New management. In 2009, Fairview implemented a 'ROWE' work environment (Results Only Work Environment). In 2016, this was taken away and all IT people were required in the office 5 days a week. Terrible work/life balance decision and many really good, talented people left FV. It's such a shame.
