Pros

Great brands, excellent products great upsides promising future

Cons

Senior leaders in high level financial roles within the Commerce business unit have no idea what are they doing, not professional, lack of leadership, lack of appreciation, and no experience on how to lead or run a business. Not paying well for the amount of work is being asked. Zero respect for people.

Pros

I loved my direct team and my manager. They were the only reason I lasted as long as I did at Fanatics but besides that and a handful of people there, there's nothing I miss about it.

Cons

1.) Money - Everyone is so severely underpaid compared to industry average, that the majority of the Tampa office actually has a 2nd job. When the topic of pay is brought up in a town hall, it is ignored and it was once heard on a hot mic from Andrew Low Ah Kee “All they care about is money”. If you decide to work here, expect to have some type of second income stream. 2.) Promotions are IMPOSSIBLE - The promotion carrot was dangled in front of me for almost a year by all levels above me. My manager fought for it but anyone above her didn’t care. Everytime it was brought up with leadership, their only response was that “they need to figure out budget”. The only reason I got a promotion was because I refused to do work that was outside of my job description after going above and beyond for 2 years. Only then did senior leadership actually kinda care. When offered my job, I learned that they were not only paying me less than everyone else with the PLM title, my bonus was only HALF of what most PLMs have. When I asked HR about it, they straight up lied and said that nobody in the company besides leadership has a 10% bonus. Even though I know many people in my position have that. 3.) Toxic Culture - people here are great but due to the toxic culture, I saw a shift during the end of my time at Fanatics. It is so hard to move up in the company that people will step on others in order to move up. People don’t talk to other people like human beings and it makes a lot of cross functional meetings very unproductive and at times dehumanizing. 4.) Horrible Leadership - Leadership does not care about its people and it really shows when you have any type of interaction with them. They don’t respect the people or their time in the Tampa office. Multiple teams spend months prepping for sales meetings and Joe Monahan would show up just to pull all of our sales rep during our meeting to change the line that we are actively presenting in the room next door. These are just some of the cons.
