Pros

People, Compensation/Benefits. The work is challenging and the pay and benefits are like "golden handcuffs". Executives at this company are paid an exorbitant amount of money but everyone is compensated well.

Cons

Limited career growth; promotions heavily influenced by internal politics and "who you know" philosophy. Senior leadership is not approachable/not visible

Pros

They are at the forefront of industry changes.

Cons

They are at the mercy of FHFA, their regulator. Low morale and pay, high turnover.

Pros

Work from home opportunities. Fair compensation and benefits as compared to most companies this size Many really nice people work there.

Cons

As a software developer you have to deal with a lot of bureaucracy. Very boring work too. Disorganized projects ie several contractors working on a single project at different times results in poor documentation and many inconsistencies.
