Pros

Amazingly talented people to work with. Lots of enthusiasm and excitement with circumstances changing daily. Hyper growth new hire momentum, new well lit offices, and future manufacturing plants going into construction.

Cons

Chinese management is clueless about automobile manufacturing business. Designers seem to be running the show, leaving engineers frustrated as management is enamored by pretty pictures and tend to not push back and protect engineering goals. Worst part about this is the vast majority of designers are concept car designers -- they've never brought a car to production so cost savings, sensitivity to weight distribution & aerodynamics tend to go out the window. Majority of employee promotions are doled out to the Chinese speaking employees, rarely for Americans (unless they find out you're going to quit). Employees see this and it's infuriating. Marketing department seems to have their hands tied as well, most of the team is forced to carry out the bidding of their poorly informed Chinese marketing overlords telling them what to do, which 99.9% of the time takes zero consideration about how messaging is perceived by Americans -- mostly amateur or copy-cat ideas from China. They say they are working toward a grand vision, and it's a true and noble cause, however the ideas and technology are identical to what OEMs are already announcing and building.

So much potential wasted

Pros

The potential is amazing. FF has a chance to start fresh and innovate the automotive industry, bridging the gap between smart, mobile devices and the cars we drive. The automotive talent is top notch.

Cons

No vision and leadership. Decisions are either being made by the Chinese investor who knows nothing of the automotive industry, or by the FF leadership who knows nothing of technology. There is no CEO and CTO which is a very big problem for a company promising to be a technology company rather than an automotive company. The branding, marketing and digital product teams have no representation on the executive level - which means that decisions are being made without any understanding of the importance of each of those teams, or the time and processes required to accomplish a product with an incredible user experience.

Terrible Culture - Serious Morale Issue

Pros

The content and opportunity are so compelling that they have been able to attract a lot of top talent. However, once people realize how many egos are at this place and the way people treat their own employees, they start to look for their exit.

Cons

HR and leadership really doesn't care about trying to institute a real cultural shift. They blame unhappy employees on not being able to handle a start-up environment, when it is really the culture of egos and scapegoating.
