Pros

Commission, before the percentage was lowered. Staff Lunches

Cons

Working at an Agency is dynamic. It really depends on the owner that sets the tone. I worked at an Agency for Farmers that was very toxic. The owner was verbally abusive to all employees. We were not given much time off, and overall, it was a terrible experience. Farmers Insurance Group started rate increases. Rate increases to the point that the loyal customers who have not had a ticket, accident, or claim of any kind are still being upcharged $800 or more on their auto or home insurance and nothings changed. It was hard to continue a sales career with Farmers due to the rate increases that were out of our control.
