      Pros

      if you don't want your job "off shored" like the other companies I have worked, this is the place to work. they have "great" benefits

      Cons

      They have great benefits "IF" you can survive there. if you don't have a bachelors degree, look somewhere else. they are degree heavy and that is a rite of passage just to get hired.

      Pros

      They spend a lot of time and money training you to be successful - from laptops, phones, etc. to 2 and 3 week classes across the country.

      Cons

      In the office I worked in, it felt like only a few select people advanced. I don't think I would have moved up much if I had stayed there for a long time.

      Pros

      Working for an agent, who is sel-employed, can be flexible. There are opportunities within the office to perform many functions from writing policies to marketing and customer service. If the book of business exceeds 1,000 policies, the phone calls are constant. Getting insurance license is usually required. This provides a great deal of information and is transferable to other companies.

      Cons

      There is no room for promotion as you are not an employee of Farmers Insurance but of the Agent. If Sales are poor it can affect the stability of job. Very little training. Their CRM system is complex and billing is cumbersome.
