Pros

Make your own schedule ability to make uncapped income good feeling of helping others pushes you to try new things

Cons

You are always working so you have no (real) time off for at least first 3-5 years Good luck making a living. Their "subsidy" is a loan that they can take away and make you pay back A lot of hit and miss with marketing and advertising. If you don't have a good support system with District office and State office then you're on your own

Pros

Autonomy, you schedule your own time. Company car that you get to take home, gas paid for by the company even for personal use, laptop, etc.

Cons

Management expects you to be a robot and just pump work out - but your work product must be perfect or your supervisor will be riding your ass until you get it right. They want you to be super quick - handle as much as you can in the least amount of time. But again, it must be perfect. No room for mistakes. Everyone works off the clock (undocumented overtime) in order to finish all of the work that is put before them. Management then thinks that these adjusters have too little work and gives us more work with no overtime. Farmers' goal is to distinguish between the highest performing and lowest performing employee. This is listed as one of their goals on a banner at the training facility.

Pros

Good place to get your feet wet if you're a new employee or just out of college. Excellent place to learn a corporate culture that embraces dishonesty as their mission statement

Cons

Management with no ethics. Micromanagement and the discipline of employees to support their goal of reducing performance increases. Promotion of employees who show 100% allegiance and will do anything they are told instead of promoting people by ability.
