Pros

Good people to work with. Good work/home life balance. Personal autonomy in work life.

Cons

Mediocre pay, limited oppotunity to advance unless you're willing to move to Olathe, KC or Los Angeles, CA. Zero corporate loyalty. They say they honor and encourage divergent opinions but what they are really looking for is a "Yes Man". If you tender a suggestion that opposes that of management you are black-listed.

Pros

Lower management is really supportive. Most managers would happily accommodate flex time or telecommuting. They pay well (maybe not so much anymore as they are changing). Benefits are expensive but good.

Cons

Upper management appears to have erratic thought process and makes decisions accordingly. Forgetful of underwriting discipline. They have no clear direction. Difficult to do business with.
