Your a number, not a person

Pros

Awesome people to work with. Good bonus (if you can reach unrealistic goals). However, in this economy, nice a company still has bonuses.

Cons

Integrating to Farmers, no accommodation to mesh with their culture. Very micro managed. If you're not meeting your objectives, you're on the path to termination. Company says all the right things, but does not stand behind their employees. Company is forgetting how important it is to keep employees happy. Happy employees working so much harder for a company that cares about them! For such a large company - horrible options for the health benefits. Thought they would have been better.

Pros

Pay is good. Great Co-workers. You get to be outdoors (sitting in your car) for most of the day

Cons

All you are is a number to the company. Changes made purely to cut costs that do not benefits the employees or the customer. Current direction of the company is to send as much work as possible to phone units in areas where they can pay the least. You slowly become a mind-numbing robot just pressing buttons before long.

Pros

steady paycheck, company car, good co-workers

Cons

The real Farmers (fast, fair, friendly) is dead. They are now a hybrid, managed by rejects from progressive, 21st century, and bristol west. They care about the bottom line period. If you are over 40 or make more than $40k per year, your demise is not a question of if but when (unless you are in senior management of course. then you can go from a $1.6 billion profit in 2010 to a $586 million loss in 2011 and a projected loss in 2012--and still get a bonus) they care nothing about their employees or customers, only money. they do their planning with 1 hand in the till and the other on the panic button. if your choices are working for farmers or being homeless choose the fridge box
