Pros

Nothing I can think of!

Cons

1. Incompetent managers and directors. Lack of understanding of basic management skills, technical skills, basic processes, etc. which is not even remotely appropriate for someone at their managerial position. 2. Micromanagements. 3. Lack of recognition, appreciation and motivation skills. They encourage over communication and false padding on the back, instead of focusing on real challenges and real achievements. 4. Not a healthy and enjoyable environment to work in. 5. Very bad and expensive health benefits. 6. Surprisingly they don't even provide free coffee for employees. 7. Too much politics.

Pros

All of the things that used to make farmers a great place to work have been taken away. Fair pay, good benefits, pension plans, fully remote position

Cons

Farmers announced full remote permanently for almost all positions and that they were selling or leasing out our offices. Without warning, we were told that we would no longer be remote, it would be 3 days in office as long as you live within 50 miles. They aren’t even using 50 miles of driving, they did this with a Birds Eye view. They aren’t taking consideration how much of a difference 50 miles makes in a big city vs more rural or smaller towns. They are committing quiet firing to avoid layoffs. This is obvious as they recently hired many new employees and then rescinded their offer, offered promotions that were taken away, reduced our profit sharing, didn’t give merit raises in 2022. People built permanent home offices, sold their vehicles, moved, made life decisions based on our permanent remote work status.

Pros

I enjoyed doing insurance in the beginning but

Cons

Farmers cut our commission my 2nd year on all renewals devaluing our books. We had territory leadership change every year until I left. After leaving they took 65% of my contract value and put the deduction under "liabilities" with no other explanation. The products were the most expensive in the area making it difficult to sell. They forced you to open office and spend your own money for no reason. In 4 years I met 7 people in my office. Biggest waste of money. No benefits after 4 years I have nothing to show but a lawsuit to try and get the thousands they stole from my contract value. Worse company in the insurance biz.
