Pros

Pay and benefits are good, just not amazing. It will get you to leave a small business, but wont compare to other companies of it's size. For example when I started we had a pension, but that was replaced with a 401k, nice to have but not nearly as valuable as a clearly defined benefit. Lower level management is full of talented hardworking people who care.

Cons

New CEO decided to reclassify all employees within 50 miles of an office as Hybrid, even if they were hired as permanently remote and have never been to the office. The company line is that this is to increase collaboration, despite 3 years of praise for increased collaboration and ease of communication due to all employees being remote. Leaders who repeatedly praised remote work have now done a total 180 and claim that going back to the office will make things better when we all know it wont. Employees see this for the quiet firing that it is. Straight out of the bad leader playbook, make the environment worse and worse until people leave so we dont have to pay unemployment. It's spineless and cruel.

Pros

Standard benefits for large company

Cons

Required to work too many hours due to short staffing. December 2021 our job was given virtual classification, now changed to hybrid September 2023. We were informed days later we must work a full day, working 8-5, 3 days a week. With kids in school I am unable to work these hours. The FAQ indicates that the "resource page" helps navigate childcare challenges. There are no resources. Dependant care FSA is not a resource. Free counseling sessions is not a resource.

Pros

They do like to hire internally

Cons

-Even employees who were promised full time WFH at hiring are now being forced to come into the office. Do NOT expect that your remote job will stay remote. Be ready to be in the office full time if you accept a job here regardless of the job listing. -Upper management will spring wildly unpopular policies on the entire company with no notice -Bonuses were cut despite company profits -If you work here, you're just another number, decisions will be made with no consideration for employees or turnover -Farmers will make a hostile/untenable work environment for you in the hopes that you'll quit so they don't lay you off and pay a severance
