Pros
Flexible hybrid work, nice office, many smart and eclectic people work here. The tech is good and there are opportunities for people early in their careers to grow.
Cons
A big issue to keep in mind when considering working for this company is that they put a very high weight on personality, social skills, and conformity, over competency. People are pretty friendly here but there's also an underlying oppressive culture that demands silence when something is done wrong by someone higher up. Directors and up are especially protective of power. The CTO drops platitudes like "work smarter not harder" and otherwise doesn't seem to care about anything. It's a standard corporate environment wrapped in progressive packaging. The diversity and equity groups are great, but they only target ethnic and sexual identity, and there is no attention to neurodiversity. It seemed clear that neurodivergence such as autism is not tolerated here. I would go so far as to say the culture resembles a cult because leadership seems to believe and/or expects everyone to believe they are exceptional and will win, despite being behind 5+ other food delivery companies in features and market share. There's another review here from a former marketing person about an abusive manager they had and I believe it 100%. I had two managers that admitted they didn't even want their job. For more experienced people, paths for progression are practically undefined and depend on which manager you report to.
