Pros

It's better than working in the fast food industry. Advancement is merit based and it's a good place to learn some basic prepress and workflow skills.

Cons

Pay is JUST enough to not outright quit. Insurance was crap. Encounters are scripted, which was the last straw for me. Kinko's was a company that cared about their customers, FedEx only cares about shipping. They bought Kinko's solely so they could have more drop-off locations and see the printing side of it as more as a bit of frosting, albeit frosting that they control with an iron fist. There's lots of needless corporate-induced barriers and tension.

Pros

Other TM's, benefits including health, vision, dental, matching 401k and others. You will learn or not.

Cons

The company is understaffed because of payroll constraints. It is also over tasked: sales to plan, an average daily volume of packages, a percentage to pack-n-ship, a pack plus metrics, We Listen metrics, product of the month metrics, Center Self management, Service Quality Indexes which includes half a dozen other metrics, Safety Inspection Checklist metrics, Security metrics, dozens of binders to upkeep, knowledge of Kronos, a point of sale, an FPOS (FedEx point of sale), being ready for a district audit, an audit from Dallas )Internal control Group or an audit from Memphis (Internal Audit), auditing yourself with Center Self Management, managers are responsible for their own hiring and firing, Bright and clean, workstation workflow, Inventories both retail and production supplies, etc., etc., etc. Any company as over tasked as this coupled with being understaffed does not run well. Team Members and Managers are under much pressure to get things done. It is not a healthy environment.
