Pros

Fantastic benefits, a variety of people to interact with

Cons

There really seems to be no management structure, it's mostly imagined and without serious guidelines. Those guidelines which do exist don't seem to enhance employees lives only customers, not bad however it is stressing. They have the well known policy of never saying no, however I do not support such a policy. I also question the reasons behind companies like this making people sign contracts saying any ideas they have while at work are the property of their employer, while it sounds logical it is really just to creepy for my tastes.

"Saving" money and losing face

Pros

FedEx Office is a fast pace environment with many different areas to develop new skills. Customers come from all walks of life in the community and in our work we get to be a part of each of them.

Cons

Since FedEx acquired Kinko's they have been slowly killing everything that made this a GREAT place to work. The "Bonus" system has been decreased every couple of years to the point you now earn a few dollars a month. Staff is constantly being reduced while demand increases. Employees are held accountable to micromanaged minutiae that have no bearing on success or failure. FedEx has attempted to save money on machines that many experienced team members find substandard. They are inconsistent and break down constantly crippling many centers, and damaging our image as the leader in the industry. Many customers came to us years ago because we provided a higher quality product (paper, machines, service). With all of these areas declining expect to lose customers back to our competitors.

Pros

Brand awareness is all I can say, however the reputation is changing as this company continues to prove that they made a mistake by buying Kinko's

Cons

Too many to list, but know that the people that run this company are self serving and do not support affirmative action. Their idea of promoting is to promote white females and that's it. We all know that's a loophole in the system when affirmative action was intended to also help minority groups get treated fairly. If you are of any minority ethnicity, you have no chance of getting ahead. I worked there for 6 years - I'm a minority female - and during that time there were never any minorities in Executive leadership roles. NEVER in the history of the company. That says a lot about the culture, that no diversity in thought, experiences or interpretation of how the company should be run exists. Take note and take your talents elsewhere of you are a minority. Also, this company has not been profitable since bought by FedEx. The leaders are fickle and change processes and bonus structures for sales too much. Most Commercial Sales professionals are underpaid and overworked with tedious reporting and tactical activities that do not result in making money for the employee, but only for the company!
