Pros

job security, freedom to do my job,

Cons

no time for a personal life. 12-13 hours spent at FedEx every day leaves no time to unwind and come to work the next day all rested and ready to go.

Pros

Solid company with a superior product portfolio. Great reputation in the industry with a forward thinking philosophy. The compensation structure is fair and the benefits are very good. Promotions are base on performance of course - the upward mobility within the company is very good. Ample opportunties throughout the US if you are able to relocate within the Corporation. Working for a company that has a brand recognition like FedEx helps as well.

Cons

Office politics - although probably not unusual in any Fortune 100 company. Overall, I've had a great experience working for the company and they have been fair with me in just about every aspect.

Pros

Its a fun yet challenging job that provides adequate pay and benefits. There are legitimate avenues for advancement within the company and FedEx will help pay for your education in pursuit of them.

Cons

Right now, due to leadership changes within the company the way FedEx relates to its employees is becoming increasingly based on productivity to the exclusion of all else. There is much uncertainty concerning what our jobs will become as they attempt to wring more out of less. The philosophy used to be, if FedEx took care of its employees they would take care of the customer. That has seemingly been abandoned as FedEx heels to its stockholders. Also, employees of other companies in the industry are more generously compensated for comparable work.
