Pros

Up till now the co seemed to be pretty stably and secure. The future of that reputation may change soon. When there is not a hiring freeze the co is great about letting you explore other departments. People have been known to go to purchasing and hr from engineering fields. The co is pretty good about promoting from with in.

Cons

Now that ground has to help out express thought times are a changing. Lately, the co as a whole has had to take a hit for divisions that are not keeping up. Even after that was done freight still incountered a lay off.

Pros

Ok pay for the times, but not for how hard I worked

Cons

The politics of changing management or distrust in management, especially when a new manager comes onboard who dislikes you and vice versa. Feelings of company/manager betrayal is leaving it's mark and many couriers are fearing for their job (just trying to wait out what they think are economical hard times and an employers market) or they are trying to find a way to transfer. It's not just the normal fast paced pressures of a courier life now, but crazy "I don't care about how hard you work" pressures now and therefore no team feeling or got-your-back at all, just on your own and can lose my job for any reason at any time.

Pros

None, if you happen to be a package handler. Great if you are in management.

Cons

People eating working environment. Managers are paid a salary PLUS a commission for packages delivered. The Package Handlers? Not a damn thing, except back injuries, little respect from managers. You are expected to be perfect all the time, and if you make an occasional mistake, they barely tell you about it, then fire you so they don't have to pay unemployment compensation.
