Federated has a positive culture. I did not experience any of the one size fits all approach or snarky cc/bcc people on e-mails or "nasty grams" that I have with other companies. Everyone has an open door and is there for your development and growth and they invest in your training. The pension is a huge benefit, their medical coverage is well priced and provides good coverage. If you manage your work and do your work it is a 40 hour a week M-F job. They do a good job with employee engagement. Managers are friendly and helpful. Salaries are fair. People are promoted fairly. Cons
"Vision" insurance should include yearly exams, but if you do not have medical/vision it does not. They'll hate me for saying this and I get it is a culture driver...but go hybrid. Try a 1 day a week work from home. You won't lose your culture over 1 day it would be a good faith effort. Seminars/Trainings in Owatonna in winter =p
