      Good people Relaxed work environment Capable management

      Cons

      Very long hours Salary-plus pay system is glorified hourly pay Vactation days cause you to lose your 2 overtime hours that would otherwise be mandatory and have already been factored into your "salary" Bussiness closely related to the heavy fluxuation of the construction industry Merit increases are minimal and there isn't much room for discussion.

      Pros

      The organization really cares about its people. Training and professional development opportunities are available for all associates. It is a large organization, but maintains a small, family environment.

      Cons

      The economy has hit Ferguson hard and the company has been forced to significantly cut expenses. This is hard for a company and has negatively impacted employees as they have had to work much harder with fewer resources.

      Management is hands off as long as you perform

      Where to start? If you don't have an X chromosome, don't expect to be promoted or respected. This is definitely a good old boy mentality company. There are numerous discretions that I could sue Ferguson for it I cared enough. Everything from asking people to work off the clock to sexual harassment.
