Pros

There are so many opportunities here at the lab, they also encourage you to further your education by offering tuition assistance. They have excellent benefits that start day one. The retirement plan is actually a pretty good one

Cons

Over worked, they need to hire more technicians, with more and more projects being approved we don't have the man power to already take care of our current projects and with these new projects coming in the next few years I have no idea how the technicians are going to get everything done.

A very congenial atmosphere, moderate pay, deliberate attention to diversity, a nice overall campus. I genuinely like working with most of the people at Fermi, the lab does a good job of attracting decent human beings.

Cons

Dilapidated infrastructure, hefty dose of bureaucracy, extremely limited opportunities for advancement (especially if you are not a Physicist.)
