      Pros

      Working with highly skilled people on some of the greatest current scientific questions. A lot of team work in a collaborative environment.

      Cons

      Staff development could be improved to make a more flexible staff. Federal funding is falling and there are no other revenue streams.

      Best Internship for an Stem major! (05/2011 - 08/2011)​Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory ‘FNAL’ ● Learned the functionality of a cryogenic ionization chamber beam loss monitor systems (BLMs) ● .Designed the initial schematics design extension for the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) used for the recollection of data from the BLMs. ● Analyzed data from the BLMs and simulated data from oscilloscopes to verify the functionality of the FPGA.

      Cons

      It's hard to receive funding, but Dianne Engram and the entire committee always manage to give us at least 3 spots.
