Pros

-Respectful, Inclusive Workplace! Fidelity encourages anyone to bring up to someone you trust about something someone did or said that made you uncomfortable and Fidelity has no tolerance for inappropriate and disrespectful behavior! -Since COVID 19 hit 99% of this company works from home! (This position allowed working from home 2 days out of the week before COVID happened.) -Work from home but not alone! Excellent technology giving you all the tools you need to be successful and feel connected with you coworkers and managers. -Flex time! With this position getting one planned paid hour off a week. ( i.e Getting off at 4 instead of 5 on Friday and getting paid that hour. What company does that? - VERY STABLE! When companies during COVID-19 are laying off people this company is hiring. Most businesses get busy in the summer while this company gets busy in the winter. -Free Essential Health Insurance - Job Advancement! The Career Center is dedicated in giving you resources for job advancement where the people associated are there to help you obtain a job you want within Fidelity. - Plenty of other Pros!

Cons

Call center work is repetitive. (You have to really fish for cons to find them with a great company like this)

Pros

They pay about 180 of your student loans. That's it.

Cons

This company does not value experience it values personal relationships within the company. It is VERY common for newcomers to feel pressure to "drink the kool aid" or they will learn very quickly how things are really run here. Bullying, mind games, favoritism but most importantly stealing ideas runs rampant. As you will probably read in other reviews, there is an uncomfortable cult-like atmosphere that is quite frankly, unsettling. Fidelity likes to hire its own interns or early career people that don't know better but anyone that has worked at any other company knows that: 1) The benefits are not that great: many companies of the same caliber offer equal if not better benefits. 2) The titles are incredibly inflated (personal relationships rule this place, not expertise). Fidelity pays with fancy titles when "promoted" in lieu of salary increases. As someone who had worked at other finance companies this was by far the most unethical I have ever experienced. If you're an early career person and would like to try it out, I suggest you get the experience and move on. If you are a tenured person, careful, this is not a company that pays well nor values your experience. You will be welcomed by people who have been here for years are not friendly if you don't rave about fidelity and its benefits everyday (literally). Strange place.

Pros

Decent Salaries, great bonuses, great benefits, insane 401k matching, and generally fun coworkers. Fidelity tries to figure out what makes their employees happy - for example they recently started helping with student loans which was incredible. Certain teams have great dynamics and click really well with each other. There's a ton of diversity, so you get interesting perspectives from everyone.

Cons

They tend to promote people based on who has the loudest mouth. They also have a streak of hiring incompetent people and then moving them around instead of firing them. There are politics abound in most of the upper management and they try to obfuscate everything from lower employees. It is difficult to move around in Fidelity. I tried several moves, but kept getting blocked so I ended up leaving.
