      Pros

      Management and staff seem to actually care about the quality of the work. They do move people up, but it can take some time. There are big changes going on now, but in spite of that people are keeping their heads up and being treated with the respect that they deserve. The benefits are better than most, and from what I can tell, the people who didn't make it through the layoffs were treated much better than those at other corporations.

      Cons

      Shaky, scary economy. But, hang in there, the financial markets have to turn around and then things will be better for everyone.

      Good Company - needs to show more organizational maturity

      Pros

      Fidelity is good company for early and mid career opportunities.Excellent use of technolgy for building their business and getting your job done. The benefits are excellent, but you will need to work hard and sometimes work/life balance get be difficult to maintain.

      Cons

      Can be very political and you need to spend a considerable amount of time promoting your accomplishments up the organization. Need to stay close to your boss and whoever he/she reports to to receive deserved recognition. If you want to move up you will need to an inordinate amount of time managing up. There can be a sense of entitlement amongst the longer term employees, but that is changing. Fidelity makes money despite itself and spends money foolishly at times.
