Pros

The people are good. I really enjoy the overall culture of the corporation. I have also found that some internal departments go out of there way to support their employees. Though this tends to be ‘department’ specific, I love the fact that Fidelity allows this. Overall Fidelity is a great place to work!

Cons

Pay is sometimes on the lower side. Also since things are departmentalized so much, sometimes you don’t feel as connected to the overall picture. Sometimes you get locked in your own world and it’s hard to see how you relate to everything else or to other companies within Fidelity Investments.

Pros

Great company to work for with plenty of coaching and feedback. There are great benefits and employee perks that are company wide. Fidelity is also fair in their salaries. They are generally above industry standards.

Cons

THe downside of FIdelity is that the company has an ever changing senior managment. With each change the company vision is augmented slightly. This can be difficult as an employee since the direction of the company is not clearly defined on a long term basis. T Senior Managment does quite a good job communicating the changes to employees. Due to the change of Managemejnt there are also changes to the job descriptions without an appropriate salary and compensation review for that particular job.

Pros

Great working environment. Friendly atmosphere. Micro-managing is NOT the style there, big plus for the day to day. Great reimbursement programs for things like tuition (90%), computer purchase (20%), exercise equipment ($250/yr). Flexible work environment. Fitness center. Great cafeteria options. Kitchenettes with sink, coffee pot, microwave and fridge in every area make it easier.

Cons

Corporate politics. Depending on the type of information you would be exposed to on a daily basis your own personal stock trading will be affected in the following ways: You'll need approval before every trade (buy or sell), You must hold any purchase for at least 90 days, If you do sell within 90 days you must surrender the profit.
