Pros

Not really sure how the new "Finastra" is going to turn out - but if you are a job seeker you better understand that Finastra is actually a merger of Mysis and D+H. The D+H side is RUTHLESS and will layoff employees as needed.

Cons

The main con is that if there are any remnants of D+H then you should run away from this disaster. The company lost $20 million in the 4th quarter of 2016 because it didn't know how to sell. When I came on board the company had gone through several reorganizations and then once I was onboard it was going through another reorganization and then once I left, it was going through still another reorganization. The company moves people from one role to another where they have NO experience. The senior leadership will put a lot of pressure on you to learn about the company, but it is nearly impossible to learn when the senior leaders are constantly reorganizing. Another con is their IT services department for lap top support is understaffed. During my first four months of work my lap top was pretty much disfunctional, meaning I could not send or receive e-mails. I eventually found myself working off of my iPhone trying to do my job!!!!! This was only possible because the e-mail did go to my iPhone but not to my lap top. A MESS!!!! And the senior management should be ashamed for the terror they have caused among its employees.

Frequent Layoffs

Business Outlook

Pros

-You can work from home a few days a week. -Generous PTO and flexible schedule

Cons

-Frequent Layoffs every few months and this is not new if you look at the history of the company when it was D+H. Many roles being eliminated from the US and moved overseas. -Products old and outdated. Patches are just put on and many client request enhancements that cannot be done or have been waiting years. -Inconsistency between teams with processes. Everything is handled differently depending on who you are working with. No written procedures so things often get blamed on someone else if something is not handled correctly or missed. No ownership without written procedures. -Open office space so it is noisy since most people are on the phone all day.

Pros

Co-workers are great. Salary and benefits are good.

Cons

Co-workers being fired. Since merger with Mysis, management has been more concerned with firing people in the US and hiring in India. Not recommended.
