Pros

Coworkers are supportive, friendly, and almost like family.

Cons

We are now an international company, with headquarters in Europe. Corporate management treats the US offices as second-rate and obsolete. Corporate IT has taken to heart the adage that "the only secure computer is one that's turned off" with new Big Brother monitoring that requires whitelisting of all software and websites.

Pros

Pay was good. Flexibility to work from home was appreciated.

Cons

I worked in an office that was 60% empty due to mass layoffs after the merger. It felt like reporting to a ghost town to work. The rest of my immediate team were in other offices in the country, or worked from home. So I sat in a mostly-empty building, and the other people that were there are not even people I engaged with at all. It felt very weird. There was still a lot of strife from the mergers. Some teams that were acquired were still unwilling to help and engage. It made it difficult to get tasks done.
