Pros

Working remotely is convenient and the hours aren't too demanding, outside of the occasional weekend work. Mostly really smart people to work with.

Cons

Lack of leadership and direction currently. Since the merger there hasn't been a lot of information. Pay raises come slowly and don't keep up with inflation, at least in the past that was the case.

Pros

Finastra offers excellent work-life balance with the flexibility to work from home, making it ideal for those who value autonomy and reduced commuting. The company provides solid benefits, including health insurance, and a flexible spending account (FSA). The global footprint of the company also provides exposure to a diverse team, adding to the overall positive experience.

Cons

The cons at Finastra are hard to ignore, especially when it comes to leadership and workplace dynamics. The company experiences significant turnover, creating a sense of instability and leaving employees constantly on edge. The head of the tax department is particularly problematic—he’s all talk with little follow-through, making empty promises about supporting the team and fostering a positive culture. In reality, he plays favorites, enabling colleagues he personally likes, while throwing others under the bus at the first sign of trouble. If you're not in his inner circle, you're expendable. I experienced this firsthand when I approached him with an HUGE issue; instead of addressing it, he immediately backtracked, avoided any responsibility, and let the situation fester. His behavior was dishonest and manipulative, prioritizing his own interests over the well-being of the team. The lack of genuine leadership creates an environment where employees are seen as disposable, and corporate politics reign over integrity.
