Pros

Great group of people to work with and was a nice start to my career in IT. The projects I was involved in were interesting and the company allowed me to participate in multiple functional areas.

Cons

Nothing terrible about working here, would enjoy it again.

Pros

They provided many training opportunities.

Cons

Salary is lower then market. They try and say they make it up with a once a year bonus. That amount is not guaranteed. If you leave right before you are out of luck and that entire year you were making a very low base salary. Also, the 401k has a good match but you have to be there 4 years before you are fully vested.

Pros

Fintech is by far the friendliest and most laid back company I've ever worked for. Everyone works hard and is always willing to lend a hand or provide feedback on projects (which sounds like I took it from the company manual, but I've never once been left in the dust when I've asked for help.) You can tell that everyone has the same goals and no one is operating off their own agenda – unlike some corporate environments. In addition, I have more healthcare benefits than I've ever had - Fintech pays 100% medical insurance for employees and children - and the company provides a 401k match, monthly lunches, company parties, quarterly awards, and bonuses. In my experience, that’s pretty unheard of these days. Lastly, it’s really refreshing to work for such a family oriented company – the CEO always makes it a point to say family comes first, especially during the holidays. I've also never been called on a weekend or while on vacation with questions or requests to handle something.

Cons

This isn't necessarily a con, but something to note if you aren't used to a fast paced environment. This is a busy company! Things move quickly and you’ll need to be able to handle multiple projects and daily tasks on top of a variety of meetings.
