Project development times seemed unrealistic. Only the senior execs know if this is because we are over promising or if 2K's demands are unrealistic. Not a lot of room for mistakes and iteration - which are essential.
Lacks the fresh blood necessary to develop anything beyond it's core IP's. What it does it does great. Anything outside of those products spells trouble.
There seemed to be a slow reduction in the vibrancy and enthusiasm the company once had. Many of its longer term employees seem to have grown bored doing the same thing every year and the unrealistic project times seem to have ground many down.
When moral was especially low, it seemed it was due to projects encountering exactly the same obstacles and mistakes over and over without actually learning from these mistakes and avoiding them in the next projects.
A lack of clear vision in some of the projects meant that rather than creating games we wanted to play, it felt like we were creating projects to fill schedules. No discernible convictions in the projects, making them feel forced and frustrated.
Be prepared to document every tiny minutia. Its painstaking, inhibits work flow and proved extremely frustrating.
