Pros

honestly none, you don't even get a free meal

Cons

prepare for unpredictable hours, 15 hours 1 week and the next 8, you never know what you're going to get. they also schedule you a day before the week starts, which doesn't let you make any other plans. minimum wage and they make you pay for your own food, a sandwich costs you an hr of pay! they also won't give an employee discount on anything bigger than a medium, what a joke! they will also hire more people to keep you part time and not give you fulltime benefits after asking for fulltime and being told there are no extra hours to work. no room for raises or improvement, management that has been working there for years make only $2 more than a brand new team member. I feel sorry for anyone forced to work this job

Pros

easy work, you dont even need to have reading comprehension skills

Cons

poor/unfair management, disorganized structure, no hours worth sustaining even a high school child, insect and rodent problem, poor training, theres a new general manager every 2 months, coworkers constantly call out and need shifts picked up, previous owners stole from multiple people's paychecks never giving out items that came with an "employee package", steamers are down everyday preventing fluid work flow, the new Gm got hired within 3 weeks of start date regardless of not having finished basic training (mind you I was working there longer than anyone as a shift lead), 0 benefits included, no empathy for ones personal circumstances, 0 background checks, managers get to walk around smelling like funky cigs (because guests love that in a dining establishment), owners were going to close the restaurant without informing their employees about it leaving us all jobless and once we found out and mentioned screenshotting the groupchat to get unemployment (which is still documented)he removes us all, my retaliation lead to me getting pettily demoted for circumstances I had 0 control over as well, lots of secrecy and shady people that wear 'food management' as a badge of honor like they're extremely accomplished in life. The whole building is a joke lol

Pros

Food was okay and hours pretty flexible.

Cons

Since it was an independently owned establishment the owners wouldn’t always play by corporate’s rules. They were required to give raises during a certain time period worked but wouldn’t hoping we wouldn’t figure it out. Or banking on us being too scared to report them. Management was terrible, they were always rage quitting then coming back the next day easily because the owners were desperate as they underpaid everyone so no one would stay.
