Become a pawn company again

Pros

Office culture is casual and friendly from the CEO down. You stay busy and things change everyday so there is a lot of variety. Pay was good, at least for me. There are a lot of people with over 10 years with the company which speaks highly of the culture.

Cons

Cash America needs to get back to being a pawn company and quit experimenting with fringe lending products like payday loan and auto title. One of the core values is to "bring honor to the team" but there is no honor in taking a desperate persons car away to pay a debt. The IT department is way understaffed. The yearly restructuring and culling of employees takes a huge toll on employee moral since almost any Friday could be your last.

Pros

The leadership is trustworthy and fair. You can count on their integrity in all actions. The leadership has vision and even after a stumble they pick themselves up and plan for the next home run. They value their management and non management employees and reward everyone.

Cons

Like any company that is growing there are growing pains and the occasional bad egg in the bunch. But these are eventually removed. They currently are doing some soul searching after the failed Mexico expansion.
