      Great company with a ton of autonomy

      Pros

      This is a big bank, without the big bank pressure or feel. I have been working for this bank for 14 years since they expanded to the west coast. I have been through many changes with the bank and have had a number of different roles. There are always daily struggles, but it all depends on how you deal with them. The bank and the management I have dealt with is incredibly understanding and accommodating. I would highly recommend working for First Citizens Bank as they are always growing and working on advancing in the banking/financial industry.

      Cons

      Medical benefits are expensive and the opportunity for growth is lacking. But still overall a great company to work for.

      Great working with customers and staff.

      Cons

      If you are not a favorite, you are out of luck No matter how many goals you meet, it doesn't matter It is embarrassing how little top people know are care about banking A bigger embarrassment is going on calls with them No promotions from within A $.20 raise across the board is ridiculous, why would anyone want to stay.
