      Pros

      Good place for administrators/engineers/integrators to work with expected vendor systems (Microsoft, RedHat, Cisco, etc.). Company solid during rough financial times. IT executive management has realistic goals for next 5 years.

      Cons

      Company only provides cost-of-living salary raises. No bonus beyond annual bump in 401k. Old school middle management mentality, all hires can only do work initially signed for, regardless of growth in skills.

      Excellent benefits. Some very talented people who are loyal almost to a fault to the organization.

      Cons

      Worst corporate HR I ever experienced in over 20 years of professional life. There are some long standing SVP HR Mangers with absolutely no ethics and CANNOT be trusted to handle grievances fairly or confidentially. HR possesses entirely too much power and control within the organization - make too many arbitrary personnel decisions instead of providing support. Look the other way when managers are creating a harassing and hostile work environment if said manager is "well connected" with executive team.
